I am a big believer in leaving early for the airport. I might have overdone it today! We live about 3 hours from Boston’s Logan airport. It’s easier to fly direct to Europe from Boston. We could fly through JFK or Newark, but then we’d have to deal with NYC traffic. In any event, I always leave lots of extra time in case we hit Boston traffic. Today we hit the sweet spot. Very little traffic, and 20 minutes from curbside drop-off (courtesy of my daughter) to the other side of security. I was at the gate FOUR hours prior to departure. I almost could have boarded the prior flight—the gateway door was still open. Fortunately I can entertain myself. I’ve had time for dinner and a walk around the terminal. Now I’m charging my phone and getting ready for boarding. The plane is here!
