Although I’m sad to be leaving Ireland, I’m happy to be going home. Time to get back to a more regular routine. I will miss the live music every night, but I will do my best to recreate the ambiance at home with my HoH albums and playlists.
There was a mini-marathon road race in Dublin this morning; Patrick wisely left early and easily got us to the airport without much bother.
Dublin Airport was very busy. It was fun to see the tour groups meeting up. I meet two women from Minnesota on their first trip to Ireland. TBH, I didn’t love their guide! But no one compares to Patrick.
I had time for one last tea and scone. Security and immigration (Dublin is a pre-clearance airport, no customs once we arrive in the US!) were both fast.
Some delays with the departure, but the pilots made up time and we landed only about 35 minutes late. At Logan Airport, I saw two of the tour group; I hadn’t spent time talking to them, so I didn’t realize they were on the same flight.
Best part…Charles was waiting for me outside the arrivals area. We are now heading home to Troy.
